Larry Eugene Farrington


Larry Eugene Farrington, 74 of Richwood, died Friday evening, September 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 16, 1950 in Kenton to Bradley and Patricia (Barnhart) Farrington.

On September 23, 1995 he married the former Debbie Pfister, and she survives in Richwood.

Larry was owner/operator of Farrington Trucking for over 45 years. He enjoyed working on the farm helping his dad. He even helped racing his dad's and his wife's horses. Larry enjoyed meeting and talking to his many friends. He would help his friends with anything they needed.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, Larry served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Richwood VFW Post 870.

Larry's greatest joy was his grandson, Kruz. He would go to Disney several times, Hershey, PA, Washington, DC, and Pigeon Forge, TN just to see Kruz enjoy the adventures. He taught Kruz how to do many things on the farm including teaching him to drive the pickup.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Patricia Farrrington, Deland, FL; a sister, Judy (Jim) Ferguson, DeLand, FL, and their daughters Traci Hendrickson of Deland FL and Julie (Scott) Foster of Salida, CO and their children; brothers-in-law, Donnie (Leslie Stewart) Pfister, Deland, FL; Roger (Laurie Pacha) Pitchford, Richwood; a sister-in-law, Barb (Dave) Underwood, three aunts, Marilyn Farrington Pugh, West Mansfield; Wanda Barnhart, Bellefontaine; and Dorothy Farrington, Orange City FL; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and he was “Warry” to Eberly Paley. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Mary Kerns officiating. Burial will follow in York Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #1095 and the U.S. Army. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM on Friday at the funeral home in Richwood.
