![]() ![]() She was born August 14, 1930 in LaRue to the late Wallace and Hazel (Stiverson) Warner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny L. Furer, they were married May 28, 1950 at the Union Baptist Church in West Jackson and he died August 28, 2017. Also preceding her in death was a brother, Thomas L. Warner. Jean was a 1948 graduate of the LaRue High School. She had worked for a short time at the former Marion Power Shovel. She was a loving wife and mother who raised five sons on their family farm. She was a member of the Cornerstone Alliance Church in Marion and of the Progressive Buds Garden Club. Jean enjoyed quilting, working with her beautiful roses and taking care of her family’s big vegetable garden. Jean took Jesus as her personal savior at an early age and carried her faith throughout her life. Surviving are her sons, Steven L. (Angela) Furer, Marion; David M. Furer, Marion; James L. (Kris Linstedt) Furer, Marion, Timothy D. Furer, Marion; and Matthew H. (Jennifer) Furer, Marysville Grandchildren, Adam, Brett (Cori), Kristen, Shelby and Samantha. Great grandchildren, Cole and Jude One brother, Gary R. (Joanie) Warner of Marion Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Pastor Tim Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home in Richwood.
