Linda Kay Shoup
Linda Kay Shoup, 80 of Urbana, died Monday February 14, 2022 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 9, 1942 in Richwood to the late Chester and Laurentine (Phelps) Shoup. She was also preceded in death by one son, Kirk Hughes and siblings: Sam and Charles Shoup and Anita Coffman.
Linda loved horses, she had harness horses most of her life that she raced. Linda loved to garden and can foods and was always busy working somewhere doing something. She helped anyone she could and enjoyed cooking big meals for family. She had attended the Belle Center Church of Christ.
Surviving is her son, Douglas (Nicole Reeder) Hughes of Lakeview
Grandchildren: Destany Hughes, Parker Hughes, Elijah Hughes and Owen Hughes
Great grandchildren: Bentleigh, Brynleigh, Amya
Siblings: Paul (Betty Jo) Shoup of Upper Sandusky and Sarah Cline of Lancaster
Funeral services will be held Friday February 18, 2022 at 4:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, Pastor Joseph Rhea will officiate. Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 2:00 pm at the funeral home in Richwood. Private burial will take place in the Claibourne Cemetery.
