Mary Montis Jones
Mary Montis Jones, age 91, formerly of near New Bloomington, died Monday February 20, 2012 at 8:12 PM at Community Healthcare Center in Marion. She was born March 3, 1920 in Ashley, Ohio to the late Clair and Carrie (Smith) Welch. She married Glen S. Montis he is deceased she later married Emery Jones and he is also deceased.
Surviving is one son Earle (Elizabeth) Montis of New Bloomington. Grandchildren; James Montis of Green Camp, Glenn (Annette) Montis of LaRue and Mary (Brian) Napper of Marion. Great Grandchildren; Colton Riser, James Montis Jr. Thomas Montis, Karrah Montis and Breanna Napper. Great Great Grandchild Emma Rose Montis. Brother William May of Lafayette, Ohio and Sister; Marie Maxwell of Florida.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; Robert, Jack, Gaylord, and Herbert Welch, three sisters; Katherine Dawson, Vera Davy, and Irene Welch.
She had her own upholstery shop, was a former member of the Eastern Star of Mansfield. She loved to read and do puzzles.
As per her wishes there will be no service or calling hours. The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue is helping th family with arrangements.
