Ruth Hughes
Ruth Hughes, age 87, formerly of Prospect and Marion, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. She was born January 12, 1925 to the late Orville and Hazel (Decker) Hull.
On August 24, 1948 she married Albert E. Hughes and he died September 20, 1984. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry Hull and a sister, Marjorie Boyce.
She worked as a legal secretary for Lloyd Kerns in Richwood before working for the law office of George and Mike Piacentino in Marion for nearly 50 years. Following retirement, Ruth enjoyed the time helping her son at his store in Lancaster.
She is survived by a son, Russ (Rebecca) Hughes, Lancaster.
In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Private burial will take place at Shoup (Thompson Twp.) Cemetery at a later date.
