Martha Alice Rittenhouse |
Martha Alice Rittenhouse, 88, formerly of Prospect died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Wintersong Village Nursing Facility in Delaware. She was born January 14, 1918 to the late Frank Porter and Pearl Ethel (Shuff) Hempy.
The former Ranco employee was a member of the Central Community Baptist Church.
On September 20, 1938 she married John Rittenhouse, who died February 3, 2003.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Darlene D. (Robert) Caulkins, Delaware; Ruth Ann (Russell) Geeck, Englewood, Florida; 1 son John “Butch” (Sally Hempy) Rittenhouse, Prospect; 1 brother Frank Hempy, Prospect; 2 sisters Luella Huffman, Delaware; Eva Moore, Texas; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in the Prospect Cemetery with Pastor Owen Stewart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Community Baptist Church, in care of the funeral home, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
