Michael Darren Fields, 65 of LaRue, died unexpectedly December 31, 2025 at his home. He was born January 13, 1960 in Marion to the late Jonas and Doris (VanBuskirk) Fields. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Fields. Michael was a self-made man of many talents and trades. He had a passion for rejuvenating and detailing cars and bringing them back to life. He was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and drawing. His home was a studio full of his works. Michael was constantly looking to improve his surroundings and had a keen eye for perfection. At the center of his life was his faith and his family. Michael knew the importance of giving back and did everything he could to make the world a better place. He will be remembered for his creative spirit and diligence to his family. He is survived a son, Michael (Anna) Fields, Marion; daughters, Luella Blanton, Marion; Dusty Fields-Shepherd, Marion; a brother, Wesley Fields, LaRue; sisters, Karen Fields, LaRue; and Rhonda Houseworth, Marion; eight grandchildren, Donny, Chevy, Madison, Dylan, Katelynn, Kavion, Kaciona, DeArion; and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, LaRue with Hayden Stofcheck officiating. Burial will follow in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home in LaRue. Memorial gifts may be made to the family to help with unexpected expenses.
