Dustin Michael Hodge |
Dustin Michael Hodge, 42 of Bellefontaine, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Mary Rutan Hospital. He was born May 10, 1983 in Bellefontaine.
He is survived by his son, Skyler Hodge of Bellefontaine; his fiancé and love of his life, Tami Reeb; mother in law Michelle; his parents Ray and Chris Payne of Ridgeway; siblings Derick (Shelly) Hodge of Kenton; Leonard (Di) Payne of Cuyahoga Falls; Charlie (Ashley) Payne of Huntsville; Stephany Payne of Bellefontaine; Tesa (David Miller) Purtee of West Mansfield; Jess (Shane) Freehauf of West Liberty; and Jay (Emily) Breidenbach of West Mansfield.
He was predeceased by his loving “Maw” Mary Lou Hodge, his uncle Rod Hoskins, his aunt Dawn Breidenbach; and cousin, Sgt. Jeremy Hodge.
Dustin was a truck driver his whole life. His greatest joy was his son, Skyler. Dustin was the kindest guy you ever met. He was a true racing fan, especially of Kyle Larson. Dustin could be found watching some kind of race every day, whether it was short-track racing or NASCAR. He also was a die-hard Michigan football fan. His biggest wish was to go and watch a game.
A gathering of family and friends is being planned for a later date. The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial gifts can be made to Skyler's education fund, c/o Christina Payne, 8059 County Road 142, Ridgeway, OH 43345.

I'll never forget the way you laughed and always put things into a better view. The best memory ever is when we all were playing car tag. Race tracks definitely won't be the same without you. Rest easy Dustin.
