Please accept my condolences for your loss of Marge. I remember meeting her for the first time when I came home from the service at her store uptown in 1998. While I didn't know her, she knew I was Hilda's daughter and talked to me like we were old and fast friends. I felt so welcomed! That's the way she was...made strangers feel like old friends.

I have so many fond memories of time spent with Margie at LaRue United Methodist Church as she shared her beautiful voice in the Chancel Choir and served in so many other ways at the church as well and in the community. It was also a pleasure to get to know her children through their years spent in the Elgin district. She will be missed by many. We keep the family in our prayers and thoughts. I remember when you chose me to sing for a musical at the LaRue United Methodist Church. The theme was The Fruit of God’s Spirit. I sang:
Love is Part of the fruit of God’s Spirit.
Love is proof that God lives in me.
Love is one of the ways I am like him.
Love is part of God’s plan for me…
I remember this so well because it was one of the few times in my life that I felt like I was someone special. I was chosen to sing this beautiful song by you because you believed in me. And that day I felt like I was a shining star.
Being accepted and being a part of the family. Spending the night with many times playing that huge piano and singing gospel songs.
These were all part of God’s plan for me.
I love you. And I thank you. Now you can sing with the angels.
