Amy Jo JohnsonCookAmy Jo Johnson, 56 of Marion, died Saturday April 12, 2025 at the Marion General Hospital.

She was born March 1, 1969 in Marion to Doug and Pam (Guy) Lichtenberger.

Amy was a 1987 graduate of Pleasant High School and a 1991 graduate of Mt. Vernon Nazarene with a bachelor's degree in Sociology.

She was a member of the Grace Community Fellowship in Radnor. Amy had worked previously with Head Start and the Bethany Christian Services both in Indianapolis, Indiana. She had also worked at the Bethel Day Care in Lafayette, Indiana and the Marion County Children’s Services.

Amy was an ardent recipe collector and enjoyed trying them out. She loved to give gifts and send cards. This was a ministry for her. She cherished the Bible study at church, helping with Vacation Bible School every summer and of course, worshipping on Sunday mornings.

Surviving are her parents, Doug and Pam Lichtenberger of Marion
Her brother, Andrew (Beth) Lichtenberger and their family of Marion.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Thursday April 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Grace Community Fellowship in Radnor. Pastor Joe Couch will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-7 pm at the church. Burial in the Waldo Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Memorial gifts may be made to Marion Citizens for Life, 711 Somerlot Hoffman Rd Marion, Ohio 43302 and/or the Grace Community Fellowship at 4050 Radnor Rd. Radnor, Ohio 43066

I am so sorry to hear about Amy. She was such a a lovely person. And a wonderful babysitter for my boys many years ago. I pray for God's peace for her family.
