Julia Ann Waters, 93 of Marion, died Monday March 17, 2025 at the Arbors at Delaware. She was born April 15, 1931 in the borough of Manhattan, New York City to the late Andrew and Lena (Macko) Vodich. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Waters, they were married January 6, 1951 at the home of Rev. James Ellsberry in Williamsburg, Ohio, Howard died June 19, 2011. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Susan Waters, grandchildren, Caleb Lancaster and baby girl Beery, son-in-law, Dan Lancaster and her beloved cat Sir Winston. Julia graduated from Bethel-Tate High School in 1949. She was a longtime member of the Marion Christian Center. She and Howard were missionaries to Guatemala, Belize and Costa Rica.  Julia also had been a school bus driver for the North Union Schools for 15 yrs. She had volunteered at Marion General Hospital, the Marion Christian Center food pantry and was a Bell Ringer for the Salvation Army. Julia enjoyed reading, gardening, baking, cooking and collecting cook books. Surviving are her children, Beverly (Frank) Sekella of Belle Center, Jennifer Centuori of New Jersey, Ellen Lancaster of Medina, Joyce Waters of Columbus, Catherine (Duane) Misura of Calgary, Canada and Bruce Waters of Westerville. Grandchildren, Benjamin (Amy) Beery, Brandon (Kristen) Beery, Matthew (Julia) Kurz, Cassie (Nick) Meola, Michael Centuori, David Lancaster, Heather (Tim) Vandermey, Hilary Brooks, Joel (Laura) Brooks, Casey Waters, Adam (Miranda) Waters, Andrew Waters and Christopher Waters. 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren   Funeral services will be held Monday March 31, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Pastors Tom Stimson and Steve Pruett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday March 30, 2025 from 2-4 pm at the funeral home in Richwood. Memorial gifts may be made to the Marion Christian Center at 1550 Richland Rd.
