Joy Preston

Joy Preston, 58 of LaRue, died Tuesday March 4, 2025 at the Logan Acres Nursing Home in Bellefontaine. She was born November 4, 1966 in Kenton To Jerry Bowles and Shirley (Burbaugh), they are both deceased, along with her stepfather, Daniel Schroll, stepbrother, Danny Schroll and brother-in-law, Steve Duprey. Joy graduated from Elgin High School in 1986. She had worked at the Whirlpool Corp. in Marion for over 19 years. Joy had attended the Marion Naz and had sung in the choir. She had a very big soft spot in her heart for animals. Surviving is her son, Matthew Sigler of LaRue siblings, Jay (Sandy) Bowles of Lewistown, Scott (Brenda) Bowles of Marysville, Teri Duprey of Prospect and Jaxon (Candy) Bowles of Toledo. Many nieces and nephews and extended family. Memorial services will be held Tuesday March 11, 2025 at 6:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Pastor Tim Moebs will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 5:00 pm at the funeral home in LaRue. Burial will take place in the LaRue Cemetery at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer’s Assn. 1379 Dublin Road Columbus, OH 43215 and/or the Humane Society of your choosing.
