Ted L. Pfarr
Ted L. PfarrCincinnati BengalsTed L. Pfarr, 76 of Prospect, died peacefully Monday October 14, 2024 at his home.

He was born August 18, 1948 in Marion to the late John and Mildred (Wood) Pfarr Jr.

Ted was a 1966 graduate of the North Union High School. He retired from the Whirlpool Corp. after 46 yrs. in Maintenance. Ted was also well known in the area as an auctioneer, he had an auction house in Richwood for a number of years.
Ted loved to fish, he and Pat had a boat at Lake Erie for many years. From the very beginning of the Cincinnati Bengal franchise Ted was a die-hard fan. He also enjoyed collecting knives and Iver Johnson Shotguns.

On March 10, 1967 in Richwood he married Pat A. (Rosebrough) and they were dedicated to each other for 57 years.
Also surviving are their sons, Jon (Amy) Pfarr of Poland, Matt Pfarr of Laurelville and Tim Pfarr of Springfield.
Grandchildren, Kylie (Charles) Simpson, Morgan Pfarr, Madison Pfarr and Teddy Pfarr
Siblings, Jerry (Eileen) Pfarr of Broken Arrow, Ok, Judy Salyer of Richwood and Peg (Jim) Stein of Powell

Funeral services will be held Friday October 18, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Prospect. Pastor Jerry Frazee will officiate. Burial will follow in the Radnor Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5- 7 pm at the funeral home in Prospect.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Steve Young Memorial F.O.P. Lodge of Marion, 100 Executive Dr. Marion, Ohio 43302, for the Cops for Kids program, a program that lets cops shop for underprivileged kids for Christmas.

Ted always had a smile or a joke for everyone . My favorite line of his got a 1.00 box I have enjoying knowing him and his family My dad would go to one of his auction to just harass Ted. The Ted would turn the table on me. I would like to extend the family my appreciation of knowing a great man My prayers and love is sent to you in this time of great sorrow.

We can only imagine Ted's amazing entry into Heaven. Listening to our Dad (Ray Van Horn) and Ted talk of our Lord and His grace was amazing. We shared many meals at Der Dutchman with Ted and Pat. I meant Ted and Pat in May of 2010 when I became a neighbor . Ted was always my friend and a great neighbor. We always talked and had stories together. My prayers and thoughts are with the family. God has brought home a good man. RIP my friend

Ted was a wonderful high school friend! Ted taught me to park (before taking my driving test!). He was patient, funny, and a super teacher! My Dad and I always enjoyed going to his auctions! I first worked with Ted in 1973 at his Uncle Dick's auction house in Broadway. It's been a pleasure to know Ted and Pat along with their family through the years. Pat, I am sorry to hear of the passing of Ted. He was a great friend and loved to Hassel me every chance he got. He was also one of the few who would help me with my press issues. I learned a lot from him. Please accept my deepest sympathies and God Bless your journey without him.
