Kenneth R. Virden

Kenneth R. Virden, 60 of Marion, passed away Sunday March 3, 2024 at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. He was born on February 27, 1964 in Kenton, to the late Roger Virden and Donna (Montgomery) Craig. Kenny graduated from Elgin High School in 1982. He was a quiet man who kept to himself, but he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He had a good heart and always tried to help people when he could. He loved playing and collecting guitars, and he really enjoyed hard rock n’ roll. His other hobbies through the years included fishing, hotrods, and walking around the city of Marion. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his sister Victoria (Tim) Noggle of Marion; his brother Charles Virden of Phoenix, Arizona; numerous nieces and nephews; his stepmother Linda Virden of Winston- Salem, NC; and his stepfather Tommy Craig of LaRue. He was preceded in death by his parents Roger Virden and Donna Craig, as well as an infant sister, Julie. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Pastor Tim Pasma will officiate. Burial will follow in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 am at the funeral home in LaRue.
