Janis E. Jordan |
 Janis E. Jordan, 75 of Richwood, died early Wednesday morning February 7, 2024 at her home with her devoted family by her side.
She was born February 3, 1949 in Morehead, Kentucky to the late Calvin and Gloria (Bragg) Wright. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Jordan, they were married in 1972 and he died April 13, 2009. Also preceding her in death was her brothers, Gene and Randy Wright, children, Cheryl Cook, Robert Foley and Linda Foley and grandchildren Samantha and Dawn.
Janis had worked at the former Heartland Nursing Home in Marysville for 20 years. She enjoyed traveling all over the United States with family, trying new foods and just seeing the country. Janis was an avid reader and enjoyed the quiet times watching and feeding the birds. She was truly a family person, always looking out for them and enjoying the time she could spend with them.
Surviving are her children, Joe (Andrea) Jordan of Richwood, Christopher (Chad) Jordan of Columbus, Chuck (Deb) Jordan of Gallipolis, Donald Foley of Marysville, Rick Foley of Richwood, Wendy (Michael) Cline of Richwood, Cindy (George) Henault of LaRue and Pat Cordle of Richwood
Her sister, Mary Brady of Richwood
Grandchildren, Jazmyne, Heavenlee, Joseph Jr., Liam, August, Hallie, Stacy, Stephanie, Sherrie, Shannon, Jessica, Justin, Joyce, Lee, Kevin, Dustin, Payton, Tara, Sarah, Jacob, Mandy, Jamie, Clint and Russell
Numerous great grandchildren and extended family and friends
Funeral services will be held Monday February 12, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Pastor Art Minnehan will officiate. Burial will follow in the Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home in Richwood.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a wonderful lady. I have so many fond memories of her. I spent a lot of time with her when I was growing up. She will be sadly missed by many. Love you all. Keeping you in prayer during this difficult time and always.

I spent alot of time when I was younger at the Jordan household. Jan was always fun, always laughing, and easy to talk to. Even later in life, we always had something to talk about and laugh at. Sending love and prayers to everyone. Love you all...
