Violet L. Jones

Violet L. Jones, 92, formerly of Richwood and Prospect, died Friday October 27, 2023 at the home of her granddaughter in Mansfield. She was born July 25, 1931 in McConnelsville to the late Robert Kenneth and Ruby A. (Albright) Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dana Jones, they were married November 10, 1948 in McConnelsville and he died August 6, 1987. Also preceding her in death was a son, Daniel Dana Jones and siblings, Richard Hill and Annabel Noland. Violet had worked cleaning homes in the area.  She had been a member of the former Essex United Methodist Church. She had also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary in Prospect, the Richwood Civic Center and the VFW in Richwood. Violet enjoyed traveling and spending time her family, they were so important to her. Surviving are her children, Kelly Dean Jones of Marion, Kenneth D. Jones of Columbus and Vicki Jones of Delaware. 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren Brother, Robert (Connie) Hill of Nolensville, Tennessee Graveside services will be held Friday November 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Price Cemetery, Pastor Joseph Rhea will officiate. The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is assisting the family.
