Barbara R. Rhodes

Barbara R. Rhodes, 86 of LaRue, died Wednesday afternoon August 16, 2023 at Kenton Nursing and Rehab. She was born February 19, 1937 in Kenton to the late Harry and Austa (Weist) Miller. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Bill and John Miller, Suzanne Barkley and an infant sister. Barb was a homemaker. She had belonged to the Red Hat Society and enjoyed listening to country music, sewing and canning. Family was the center of her life. She took very good care of her husband Raymond for many years. Surviving is her husband, Raymond Rhodes, they were married February 11, 1955 in Waldo. Also surviving are their children, Danny (Susan) Rhodes of Prospect, James (Susan) Rhodes of Marion, Dale (Janet Porter Beeney) Rhodes of LaRue and Lorine Sue (Bob) Grimes of Wheeling, West Virginia Eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren Siblings, Mary Ellen Dune of Marion, Juanita Fields of Marion and Harry Frank Miller of Delaware Funeral services will be held Monday August 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in LaRue. Pastor Tim Pasma will officiate. Burial will follow in the LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service beginning at 12 noon at the funeral home in LaRue.
