Charles L. Wiseman

Charles L. Wiseman, 90 of Marion, formerly of Richwood, died peacefully early Friday morning June 30, 2023 at his home. He was born December 5, 1932 in Clark County to the late Wilbur and Margaret (McAlister) Wiseman. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Devere and siblings, Ethel Cave and Wilbur and William Wiseman. Charles had served our country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a farmer most of his life and had also worked at Honda of America for 15 yrs. He enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, (euchre and solitaire were favorites) and was an avid puzzle doer. Surviving is his wife, Josephine (Crace) Wiseman, they were married April 10, 1952 in Indiana. Also surviving are two daughters, Roxanne (Daniel Gruenbaum) Wiseman of Winter Park, Florida and Heidi (Raymond) Barnes of Richwood Grandchildren, Lauren Gruenbaum, Jeremy Thompson, Shad Thompson, Satchel Devere and Kaitlyn Barnes One brother, Ed (Ruth) Wiseman of Catawba Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 5, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Jeff Evans will officiate. Burial will follow in the Claibourne Cemetery, where there will be Military Honors conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America #1095 and the United States Army. Friends may call two hours prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home in Richwood.
