James Russell Schilling |
 James Russell Schilling, 78 of Marion, died early Thursday morning May 25, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 3, 1944 in Waverly to the late Robert and Marie (Bryant) Schilling. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Schilling and a great grandson, Elliott Criswell.
Jim had worked at the Family Tire Center in Marion for over 40 yrs. He enjoyed camping, fishing and working in his garden. He loved being outdoors.
But the true center of his life was his family, he loved them all. Jim was the go-to guy in the family when anyone needed help.
Surviving is his wife, Mae (Hickok) Schilling, they were married November 21, 1970 in West Virginia. Their children, Lori (Kevin] Compton of Marion, James Jr. (Kimberly) Schilling of Marion, Sherri (Steven) Dickerson of Ashland, Greg (Miranda) Schilling of Edison and Robert (Dawn) Schilling of Marion
20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren
Siblings, Mary Stenger of West Mansfield, Roger (Roberta) Schilling of Marysville, Ronnie (Linda) Schilling of Marysville and Betty (Terry) Wood of Raymond
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 5-7 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood. Private family burial will take place in the Claibourne Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Marion Area Humane Society at 2264 Richland Rd, Marion, Ohio 43302
