James Arthur Cox |
 James Arthur Cox, 86 of Marysville, died Sunday May 29, 2022 at the Dublin Methodist Hospital.
He was born December 8, 1935 in Edwight, West Virginia to the late Lee George and Emma Jane (Milam) Cox. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Ernest (Ramona) Cox, Ella Mae (Don) Lamb, Ted (Joan) Cox, Bill Cox, George (Mary) Cox, Gary Cox, Lois Belcher, Shirley Clemons, Johnny (Betty) Cox and Scott (Debbie) Cox.
Jim was retired from Ranco in Delaware, where he worked for 38 yrs. He was known by either Arthur or Jim, depending on the place and situation. He was an avid hunter, fisher, and gardener (known for his delicious tomatoes). He also enjoyed watching sports, especially West Virginia Mountaineer football. He adored his grandson Cory from the day he was born. He always enjoyed bluegrass music.
Surviving is his wife, Sheryl (Cordell) Cox, their daughters: Roberta Cox and Jamie (Aaron Mintier) Rausch, grandson, Charles “Cory” Rausch all of Marysville.
In-laws; Juanita Cox of Magnetic Springs and Roy Clemons of West Haven, CT
He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday June 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Mount Herman Cemetery, Dover Township. Karl Haught will officiate.
The Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood is assisting the family.

My deepest love and sympathies. So many great memories growing up with Uncle Arthur hunting & fishing at the old Cox family homeplace on Coal River and then in Ohio after moving. God bless y'all.
