Robert J. Ritchie |
 Robert J. Ritchie, 86 of Green Camp, died Monday February 22, 2021 at the Marion General Hospital.
He was born August 30, 1934 in Union County to the late Jerome Cassius and Irene (Groom) Ritchie. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Adams and two sisters: MaryBelle Cooley and Patricia Johnson.
Bob was a 1952 graduate of the Northwestern High School. He had worked at the Green Camp Elevator for over 40 yrs. If you knew Bob, it was work, work and more work. He had also served his community as a Green Camp Trustee for 12 yrs.
He was a true family man who loved spending time with his large family. In his down time, Bob enjoyed doing sudoku puzzles and was known to never turn down something sweet to eat.
Surviving is his wife, Barbara Jo (DeWitt) Ritchie, they were married February 6, 1954 in Winchester, Indiana.
Also surviving are their children: Lynn (Connie) Ritchie of Mesquite, Nevada, Lee Ritchie of Green Camp, Gene (Kathi) Ritchie of Mt. Gilead, Salli (Gene) Swain of Marion and Kathy (Michael) Sawczyn of Galloway
Grandchildren: Brad (Danielle) Ritchie, Laurie Ritchie, Scott (Vicki) Ritchie, Jason (Lyndsey) Adams, Brian Scarberry and Alex, Art and Ben Sawczyn.
Great grandchildren: Cole and Cody Ritchie, Brittney Ritchie, Kyle Wright, Josh, Jacob and Joelle Adams, Brooke Adams, Corbin and Claudia Ritchie, Gracie and Kassidy Ritchie
Great great grandchildren: Bexleigh Adams, Cora Honaker and Joel Ritchie
Public graveside services will be held Friday February 26, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Green Camp Cemetery, Pastor Joseph Rhea will officiate. Private calling hours will be held.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Marion Area Humane Society at 2264 Richland Road
Marion, OH 43302

We are so very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I remember many fun times with Bob, Barb and family at Aunt Geneva’s and Uncle Bill’s. Bob was always so friendly and nice! Hugs to all of his family!

My condolence to Barb and the family in the loss of Bob. I worked with both Bob and Barb at Green Camp Elevator many years ago. They were both so very kind to me. Remembering the good times.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was my neighbor for many many years. I always looked forward to him riding his bicycle past my house several times a day. If he wasn't riding his bike, he was sitting on the front porch with Barb. Rest In Peace, Bob. You will be sorely missed.💙🙏✝️
