  Michael Russell Mingus 66, of Richwood, died peacefully Sunday evening November 25, 2018 at his home, his loving family by his side.
He was born October 31, 1952 in Columbus to the late Lloyd Gideon and Rosa Jean (Chandler) Mingus, he was also preceded in death by a sister: Franny Dunton A veteran of the United State Navy, Michael worked for Kenetics Noise Control in Dublin for 20 years. He had formerly worked at Raytheon until it's closing. Mike was very conscientious about his work, never being late or missing a day of work. A hippy at heart, Mike loved going to concerts. He was a very compassionate man towards his family. Surviving is his devoted sister: Becky Little of Pataskala and a brother-in-law: Jim Dunton of New Hampshire Memorial services will be held Saturday December 8, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood, Pastor Kevin Hull will officiate. Military Honors conducted by the Richwood Area Veterans will follow the service. Friends may call from noon until the time of service at the funeral home in Richwood. Private family burial will take place in the Sunset Cemetery at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to the Ohio Health Hospice at 1713 Marion Mt. Gilead Rd.
