Barbara S. “Fuzzy” Rees

Barbara S. “Fuzzy” Rees, 68 of Raymond, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 13, 2016 at the Whetstone Care Center in Columbus. She was born May 19, 1947 in Springfield to the late Ray and Florence (Hoffman) Powell.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dick Powell. She was a 1965 graduate of Marysville High School, was retired from Crago Nursery on Raymond Road where she loved to work and really enjoyed all the aspects of her job.  The center of her life was her family. She is survived by her husband, Wayne D. Rees, whom she married April 5, 1970 in Marysville; a daughter, LaNeena M. Rees, West Mansfield; two sons, Douglas W. (Trish) Rees, Marysville; David L. Rees, Port Clinton; three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Diane (Gary) Reams, Raymond. Private family services will be held at a later date.  The family is being assisted by Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood. Memorial gifts may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016. Barb was like my second mom growing up. She always made sure I was fed well and she was one of the best cooks I knew.
