Dave H. Chovanic

Dave Chovanic age 78 of Richwood, died early Monday morning June 24, 2013 at his home. He was born October 17, 1934 in New Haven, Conn. Dave was a veteran of the Air Force where he served for 4 years. He lived a very interesting life, for over 30 years he traveled across the country with lions and tigers, doing live animal shows. He had a real passion for exotic animals. Dave was known throughout the country for his ability to handle these type of animals and put on a show. He is survived by his longtime companion and lover of animals: Debbie Green of Richwood, and a close friend Chris Green. In keeping with Dave’s wishes, there will be no public funeral services. I just found an old news clipping of the dates the show would be in town so finally had the correct spelling to his last name.  I was so saddened to see this.  His wonderful show brought much excitement to the little shopping mall I worked in as a teen.  Sending love and prayers to his family and wish I had found him again before...
