Rhonda “Non” Carter

Rhonda “Non” Carter, age 56 of Marion died unexpectedly Monday, March 28, 2011 at Marion General Hospital.  She was born December 14, 1954 in Marysville to Richard Franklin “Dick” and Rebecca (Southard) Monroe.  She was preceded in death by her father. She was a 1973 graduate of North Union High School and graduated from Marion Technical College, where she carried a 4.0 GPA, with a degree in Social Work.  She was a big fan of OSU and Cleveland sports.  She loved being with family and her grandkids. She is survived by her mother, Rebecca Kavanagh, Marion; two sons, Ian Carter, Marion; Andy D. (Melissa) Carter, Akron; a daughter, Cara Hoffman, Marion; her former husband, Andy Carter, Richwood; two brothers, Richard Kelly (LeeAnne) Monroe, Richwood; Robert Lacy Monroe, Marion; two sisters, Roxanne “Sox” (Danny) Jordan, Richwood; Shelly (Steve) Craig, Bellefontaine; four grandchildren, Owen and Brayden Hoffman; Re’niyah and Re’liyah McDuffy; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor David Hudson officiating. Memorial gifts may be made to the Marion Homeless Shelter, 365 East Fairground Street, Marion, OH 43302-1875.
