I always appreciated how easily I was accepted into the family. Earnie could make you feel at ease. Suzi and I had great winter vacations in Florida, golfing with Earnie and riding in his big Cadillacs. I was impressed with his adventure spirit, the car trip he took to Alaska in the 50's before there were good roads - its these and many more memories that I carry and still believe that he was one of the coolest guys I ever met.

Dear Dorothy,
So sorry to hear about Earnie. I remember you both so well from when I stayed at Uncle Jim's and Aunt Esther's during the summer.
