Janet Alona Brown

Janet Alona Brown, 69, of 5175 La Rue-Prospect Road, Prospect died Sunday morning, September 16, 2007 at her home. She was born June 2, 1938 in Jackson Township to Ray Hall and Leona (Daniels) Harraman.

She was a graduate of Richwood High School.

She is survived by her mother, Leona Zachariah, Richwood; her companion of 20 years, Richard E. Kerns Sr.; 2 sons, Thomas Ray (Bonnie) Brown, Ostrander; John Lester (Lisa) Brown, Prospect; 2 daughters, Lona Mae (Richard) Neel, Richwood; Carla Jo Vance, Prospect; a brother, John Lee (Laura) Harraman, Arkansas; 2 sisters Rayda Mae Reese, Richwood; Teresa Ann Zachariah, Richwood; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

In keeping with the deceased’s wishes, there will be no formal services.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, 685 Delaware Ave., Suite 100B, Marion, OH 43302.

Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood is assisting the family.

My sympathy to the family of Janet Harriman Brown.
Our families were neighbors seventy years ago and have continued to live in this community ever since.
