Mary L. Allen

Mary L. Allen, 94, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at The Gables at Green Pastures. She was a teacher at Richwood Elementary School and a member of the Richwood First United Methodist Church, Chapter 42 Order of the Eastern Star, the Fortnightly Literary Club and the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She was born Dec. 9, 1907, in Canal Winchester to the late Jacob and Ottie Hitt Lehman and was predeceased by a brother, Bob Lehman. She married Perry David Allen June 4, 1936, in Richwood and he died June 15, 1996. She is survived by a son, David (Ann) Allen of Marysville; a daughter, Nancy (Sam) Littlepage of Findlay; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a brother, Dick Lehman of LaRue. Funeral services were held today at the Richwood First United Methodist Church and burial was at the Price Cemetery. The Ballinger Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church memorial fund, 18 S. Fulton St., Richwood.
