John Robert Jones, 76, retired farmer of LaRue, died Sunday May 17, 1970 at 1:15 a.m. at the Magnetic Springs Nursing Home where he had resided two years. He was seriously ill 11/2 weeks. A World War I veteran, he "was a member of [Phillipi-Clement Post of the American Legion at LaRue.
He was born in Wales on June 15, 1893, to Evan R. and Ellen W. Jones and was a resident of the LaRue ark most of his life. He married IZoa M. Jones on Apr! 17, 1940, in Kentucky. She survives. Also surviving are thrse step- sons, Andrew J. Baker of Marion, Alfred W. Baker of Waldo and Howard E. Baker of Crystal Lake, 111.; three steDdaugh-ters, Mrs. Abeit B. Walton of Columbus, Mrs. Andrew D. Ford of LaRue and Mrs. E. W. Im-body of Marion, and a sister, Mrs. Kate Williams of North! Wales. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Ford Funeral Home, LaRue, with Rev. Frederick W. Haley officiating. Burial will be in LaRue Cemetery.
