Florine Joanna Schmelzer

RICHWOOD — Florine Joanna Schmelzer, 62, 240 S. Franklin. St., died 2:15 a.m. Saturday Dec. 19, 1987 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born April 6,1925, in Columbus. Her parents were Loren C. and Georgia Hildibrand Mathys. She married Robert W. Schmelzer, who survives, on Aug. 12,1941. Also surviving are a son, Robert M., Richwood; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (JoNeil) Blanton, Richwood; a brother, Wayne Mathys, Columbus; two sisters, Esther  Allen, Kingsport, Tenn., and Catherine Bercaw, Columbus; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A homemaker, Mrs. Schmelzer was a member of the Ark Church of Christ in Christian Union, Findlay. She worked several years as an emergency medical technician, first with the Richwood emergency squad and then for the Stofcheck Am-bulance Service. The service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday  Richwood Stofcheck Funeral Home; The Rev. Tom Collum and the Rev Earl Carroll will officiate. Burial will be in Claibourne Cemetary. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today through the  evening, and Monday afternoon and evening. Circleville Bible College, P.O. Box 30, Circleville; Ohio, 43113.
