Leafa Davis

March 1, 1991 RICHWOOD - -  The service for Leafa Davis, 97, 14088 Bthlehem-Claibourne Road, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Stofcheck Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Cheney officiating. Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of Community United Calvary Church. Mrs. Davis died early Friday at her home. She was born here Jan. 26, 1894, a daughter of Adam and Laura Shisler Hoover. The homemaker was a charter member of Claibourne Grange, and member and co-founder of Community United Calvary Church, and was a member of the Carpedium Club. Her husband, Lawrence F. Davis, whom she married Oct. 15, 1915, died 1982. Mrs. Davis is survived by a son, Larry L. Davis, Richwood; a daughter, Mrs. Eva LeMasters, Richwood; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
