John R. Vanway

Srpt 3, 1991 The service for John R. Vanway, 71, 644 Espyville Road, will be 10:3.0 a.m. Friday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, LaRue, with the Rev. John T. Schlicher officiating. Burial with military graveside rites by American Legion Phillippi-Clement Post 101 will follow in LaRue Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-9 p.m. Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Vanway died Tuesday morning at his residence. He was bom in Perry County May 3, 1920, a son of Theodore and Ida-belle Vanway. The World War II U.S. Army veteran was a retired heavy equipement operator in the construction field. He was a member of the Kenton VFW Post. He married the former Elizabeth O'Farrell 1942, and she died Feb. 4, 1991. Mr. Vanway is survived by a son, John R. Vanway, Espyville; a grand- child; and two great-grandchildren. Three brothers and -a- sister are deceased.
