Calvin "Kelly" E. Zieg

RICHWOOD — Calvin "Kelly" E. Zieg, 89, Mount Olive-Green Camp Road, Green Camp, died early Tuesday morning, January 3, 1995 at Marion General Hospital. He was born Nov. 2, 1905, in Green Camp Township, the son of the late George and Emma (Seiter) Zieg. On Nov. 2,1936, in Greenup, Ky., he married the former Florence Alice McMahon, and she survives. Mr. Zieg retired from farming in 1977, was a member of Green Camp Emmanuel United Church of Christ, and was a past original member of Mount Olive Community Band. He also is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Janet) Reynolds, Marion, and Mrs. Arthur (Mary Alice) Granlee, Green Camp; a sister, Iva Stout, Lombard, 111.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Stofcheck Funeral Home, Richwood, with the Rev. David Lippert officiating. Burial will be in Price Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ.
