Ruth H. Rider

Ruth H. Rider, 81, formerly of Richwood, died Monday, Sept. 18,2001, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware. She was a homemaker and, along with her husband, worked on the farm and with the Rider Storm Window and Awning Company. She was a member of the Richwood First United Methodist Church, the Richwood Garden Club and OCCL. She was born March 31,1920, in Essex to the late James and Evah Harper White and was predeceased by a sister, Gayle White. She married John Rider Jr. Sept. 16,1939, in Windsor, Ind., and he died June 1, 1990. She is survived by a daughter, Janice (Sam) Foos of Marysville; two grandchildren, Bill (Bonnie) Foos and Jennifer (Matt) Furer; and three great-grandchildren, Shelby Furer and Matt and Mike Williams.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood. The Rev. Joseph Rhea will officiate and burial will be at the Price Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Richwood First United Methodist Church, 18 S. Fulton St., Richwood.
