i first met Brenda when she had my grandson in pre-school. Brodie had used the bathroom and wouldn't wipe his own bottom. Brenda came out of the church, grabbed me by the arm and said "I have a job for Grandpa" and into the bathroom we went. After I joined RFUMC I was on the Trustees committee and Brenda came to a meeting asking that the program be continued for another year. When she came in she said "I'm sitting beside you because you believe in education". Then, at my oldest daughters wedding I was in a room in the church struggling to get all the tuxedo stuff on. Apparently I was using some curse words. The door opened and in came Brenda. She never said a word about my cursing in the church building. She just grabbed the cuff links and other things and started getting me dressed for Aubreys wedding. When Ashley was killed John and Brenda were two people who went out of their way to help me.
Brenda Davis was an amazing person. She was a faithful Christian and a true friend.

The most memorable impression of Brenda is the almost perfect partnership she formed with Jon. They eventually settled in the same neighborhood they grew up in and on the land between their two home farms. They partnered in nearly everything whether it was church work, raising a family or keeping their farm looking like a country estate. Even when Jon was on the road with the Ken Davis and Sons truck there was a lard can full of Brenda's caramel corn sitting beside him on the driver's seat. When they began their motorhoming phase Brenda was there beside Jon for every trip. They got to know their nieces and nephews, all of whom loved Brenda like a Mom. They were faithful in following their grandchildrens' activities. Brenda and Jon were faithful fans of North Union and Ohio State football. They donned matching outfits in the school colors for each of the games. Brenda and Jon were fortunate to have 51 years of good partnering. Jon will be consoled now by the surviving family members who dearly loved them both.
