Edward Michael Szczepanski
Edward Michael SzczepanskiCatsEdward Michael Szczepanski, 50 of Richwood, formerly of Marion died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at OSU Medical Center after a very short illness.

He was born August 15, 1965 in Marion to the late Jozef and Stanislawa (Maszka) Szczepanski.

A 1983 graduate of Pleasant High School, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at The Ohio State University Marion.  He worked as an assembler at Honda East Liberty for over twenty years.

He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Marysville and St. Mary Catholic Church in Marion.

Ed loved his cats and had a green thumb, enjoying raising his vegetable and flower garden.  He was fascinated by rollercoasters and enjoyed studying the designs of the rides at Cedar Point.  Ed was a history buff, being particularly knowledgeable in World War II history.  He was a quiet guy and a good listener.  He liked watching science fiction movies.  Halloween was a fun time for Ed, who always went all out in decorating his house and property.

He is survived by a brother, Richard “Dick” (Kathryn) Szczepanski, Burlington, North Carolina; a sister, Cris (Dan) Erwin, Richwood, as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Father David Poliafico officiating.  Burial will follow in Claibourne Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.
