I remember Bill as a teen. Handsome and ornery. Never saw much of him as we grew older. Now and then when he came into the S. O.when I worked there, and he as a bail bondsman. He was all business, but still  I saw that ornery smile hiding behind that tough demeanor...He was good for Richwood...R.I.P. Prayers for all who loved him.

To Johna, Larry, Sherry, Gary and Theresa and all the grandchildren along with other family and friends. Bill was the best Mayor Richwood ever had. You could go up and talk to him, sit down, drink coffee with him. He was the most humble and caring man we've known. I went in to see Larry Thurs May 12 to borrow the taps trumpet for taking a group of WW2, Korean and Vietnam veterans to DC this weekend from Logan county. Little did I know the next time it would be played would be at his own father's funeral. He died the day we were laying wreaths at each memorial. It saddens me for the family how ironic that was but it also comforts me to know he was right there with us, watching from above. You are a true American Hero and we thank you for your service to our country and our community. You will be sadly missed. God  bless the family but be happy with the memories of a great father and grandfather that will last a lifetime. Dave and Robin Herzog and the Logan County Vets To DC.

Larry and family,  Bill was one of the first folks I met when we were building our home.  He ws very supportive of me when I was harassed by the FDA.  He was a true patriot and gentleman.  He will be missed by all.  Death has lost its sting and we will all meet again.  He is probably talking to George and figuring out how to do something different and exciting.
