I met Fergie back around 73-74, at the Marion OSU Branch, I believe. I was from Prospect and we knew some of the same people. He was a great guy with an extensive knowledge of rock music. He was fun to be around and was a very positive person. I offer his family and friends my deepest sympathy.

My deepest sympathy to Roger's family. While growing up John and I spent a lot of time with Fergie. We knew Roger was in hot water when Wynell would say Roger Dean. At 9 or 10 years of age we paused in the aisle way at Cleveland to watch Mickey Mantle hit a home run. After he did we took off on the run of the stadium. Tom, Wynell and Roger were as loyal as you get. He will be truly missed.

The Cheney family will miss you fergie. We all enjoyed being around you talking about ball or whatever. Fergie and I went to places and did things. One of the funnier moments was when we were on our way to windy acres in larue to golf. We went the back way and a huge crane popped out of the ditch and landed on front of windshield. Fergie said that is biggest pigeon I ever saw. We laughed for hours on that one. Crazy fergie.

My condolences and sympathy to Roger's family.  A NU classmate and friend of Roger's throughout our school years.  I remember going to his house monthly for our cub scout den meetings during our elementary years, as his mother was our den leader and always made fantastic cookies.  We enjoying playing ball after school many days along with playing fast pitch softball and then baseball in middle school and high school.  I have many memories of the times throughout our school years, I saw Fergie a few times throughout the years when I visited Richwood and he always was the same old Fergie that I remember from growing up and high school.  I'm sorry for your loss.

Tom George (NU Class of 73)
