Kelly,
Clayton just called to tell me.
I'm sitting in the Raleigh-Durham airport crying with this new pain in my heart. And yet I know my heartache can't compare to the anguish his mother and father are now experiencing... (Call me if-ever I can help you. You too, Mike).
When my son came home from school with a black eye in 6th grade, I had to step back from the situation and let the boys work it out. Especially after my child told me he had instigated it by hitting (the much bigger) Dalton first! Then, a couple of years later, in high school, they became good friends. Dalton was in my home a lot in those days. I was so proud of him for being willing to serve in the military, but the motorcycle accident ended that dream. Now he has all new dreams in a place where wrecks and accidents never happen, where he is unscarred and "...forever dwells in paradise." I know you are blind with pain right now, but your sweet son is not! Prayers, ~Nejla

My memory of Dalton was so sweet. He was such a compassionate, kind and loving little boy. When he was in pre school, he would help his mom with his siblings and was just always content.
Heaven gets another angel. My heart is saddened by this news.
Prayers and healing for his family.

Kelly, me and my wife would like to express our condolences from our family to yours in this hour. We will continue to keep you and your entire family lifted in prayers as well....
Words can never express the loss of a child, but we wanted you to know we share your hurt and pain, we love you and are here for you....
I also send condolences on behalf of my Pastors Roy and Aleta Burns and the Greater Glory Empowerment Temple Church Family in Columbus, Ohio.
We leave you with a few words of encouragement:
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I had Dalton in class his junior year, and he was a wonderful young man. He probably didn't like English very much, but he did his work and was always respectful to me, and pleasant and fun. He was certainly a class favorite. I hope your family can find comfort in your fond memories of Dalton.

There are no words that are going to ease the pain of losing someone so suddenly. I had planned on coming to calling hours but I won't be able to due to working at the election poles. I have many memories from 4-H with Dalton in them. He was a great person. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I did not know Dalton well in school, but he and I were in the same graduating class and going to school in such a small town builds a feeling of kinship. I am very sorry for your loss. Dalton was very kind in school, to everyone. That I do remember. My condolences to all of Dalton's family and friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dalton was such a fun kid. I'll always remember the pranks at Northwestern Ohio Christian Youth Camp with our son Jayson. They were always trying to out do one another with the pranks. The best ever was when Dalton woke up from a nap to find Jayson had taped over the opening to his bunk making it a bit time consuming to get up. He always had a smile....
He will be greatly missed....

Dearest Kelly & family,
I was so very sad to hear of the loss of your precious son, Dalton. I have never read such beautiful condolences about anyone, he was loved by all who knew him. He must have been such a "special" young man, I'm sorry I did not get to know him. I know it's very difficult to go on, but please Kelly, you must try. We will be praying for all of you and asking God to help you to find Peace in His comforting arms of promises. Try to remember that you will see him again, Kelly, he will be waiting for you when you get to heaven. So very sorry for your loss... I love you. Patsy
